Jesper Ryg

      Jesper Ryg is a Professor, PhD, and Consultant in Geriatric Medicine at the Odense University Hospital, Denmark and Head of Geriatric Research at the Department of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark. He is the author of >90 peer reviewed publications within important Geriatric topics like older people with falls and fractures, osteoporosis, frailty, cancer, dementia, polypharmacy, and end-of-life. He is performing both clinical- and epidemiological studies and presently supervises/co-supervises 8 PhD students (pharmacist, medical doctors, and nurses). He is a full board member of European Geriatric Medicine Society, Co-leader of Falls and Fracture Special Interest Group European Geriatric Medicine Society, and a steering committee board member of World Falls Prevention and Management Guidelines initiative.
